Short how-tos for everything in the editor. The same topics are in the editor under Help, where “Show me” opens the right tool.

Drawing

Draw walls
Click from corner to corner to draw walls; closing the shape makes a room.
Use exact sizes
Type a length while drawing, or click any dimension to give a wall a new length.
Add a whole room at once
Add a rectangular room with four walls, then type its size.
Name rooms and see their areas
Rooms are found from closed walls; rename them and pick a type for the right colour.
Add doors and windows
Click a wall to place a door or window; drag it along the wall to move it.

Add furniture
Drag pieces from the furniture library; they come at real sizes and turn to face the room.
Move, turn and arrange
Select things to move, rotate, align or lock them; right-click for more.

Measure distances
Measure between any two points, for example a walkway or the space beside a bed.
Trace over an existing plan
Put a photo or scan of a plan under the drawing, set its scale, and draw over it.

Plan a garden
Draw lawn, paving and beds, the plot border, fences, hedges and a gate, and turn the north arrow.
Garages and cars
Add a garage door, park cars at real sizes, and see whether their doors can open.

Export a PDF for a builder
A true-scale PDF at 1:50 or 1:100 with a scale bar and a room schedule.
Export an image or drawing
Save the plan as a PNG picture or an SVG drawing.
Get quantities and estimates
Floor area, paintable wall area, skirting and opening counts per room, as CSV.
See the plan in 3D
Walls with doors and windows, floors and furniture, updated as you edit.

Save and open plans
Plans are kept in your browser as you work; save a file to keep a copy anywhere.
Change units
Show lengths in metres, centimetres or feet and inches.
Undo and keyboard shortcuts
Every action is one undo step; press ? to see every shortcut.
