Free floor plan maker in your browser

Roomdraft is for anyone who needs an accurate plan of a home or office without learning CAD: people moving, renovating, renting out a flat or explaining an idea to a builder.

Draw walls, get rooms

Click corner by corner, or type a length such as 350 and press Enter for an exact wall. As soon as walls enclose a space, Roomdraft recognises it as a room, names it and shows its floor area measured inside the walls.

Change your mind as often as you like: click any dimension to type a new length, drag a corner, or resize a rectangular room from the side panel. Connected walls follow, so the plan stays closed.

What you can do with the plan

  • Add doors and windows; they stay on their wall when walls move.
  • Furnish rooms from a library of common pieces at their usual sizes.
  • Export a true-scale PDF (1:50 or 1:100) with a room schedule for a builder.
  • See floor areas, paintable wall areas and skirting lengths, and download them as CSV.
  • Look at the result in 3D.

Your plans stay yours

There is no account. Plans are kept in your browser as you work and you can save them as files. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share a link.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Drawing, furnishing, exporting and 3D are free, with no sign-up and no watermark beyond a small "Made with" line you can switch off.

How accurate are the measurements?

Plans are drawn in centimetres. Lengths you type are exact; dragged walls snap to a grid you can change. Areas are measured inside the walls, which is how most listings and builders quote floor area.

Can I use feet and inches?

Yes. Switch the units to metres, centimetres or feet and inches in View and units; the plan itself does not change.

Does it work on a phone or tablet?

Yes, with pinch to zoom and two-finger panning. A larger screen is more comfortable for drawing a whole home.
