About this layout
A studio has to do everything in one room, so the layout is about zones. Here the bed sits in the quietest corner, away from the front door, with a wardrobe beside it. The sofa faces a TV wall and doubles as a divider between living and sleeping.
The kitchen is a single run along the outside wall: fridge, worktop and sink in one line, which is the cheapest arrangement to plumb. A round table seats four without corners to walk into.
Before you copy it
- Check where the drain and window are before you move the kitchen run; a sink far from the soil stack can be expensive.
- A shower room this size works best with a sliding or outward-opening door if the shower is opposite the door.
