L-shaped kitchen floor plan
Counters along two walls meeting in a corner unit, with space left for a small dining table.
About this layout
An L-shaped kitchen keeps the sink, hob and fridge close together on two walls and leaves the rest of the room open. The corner unit turns the run without wasting the corner.
The sink sits under the window and the hob next to it on the same run, with worktop on both sides of the hob for setting pans down.
Before you copy it
- Corner cupboards are hard to reach; a carousel or a blind-corner pull-out makes them useful.
- Try to keep at least 40 cm of worktop beside the hob on one side and next to the fridge.
