Family bathroom floor plan
A bathtub along the back wall, a toilet and a washbasin, with the door swing kept clear.
About this layout
The bathtub takes the full back wall, the washbasin sits beside it and the toilet is on the side wall, so the door opens without hitting anything.
Keeping the toilet and basin on adjacent walls keeps the waste pipes short, which matters most in an older building.
Before you copy it
- Leave about 60 cm of clear space in front of the toilet and the basin; some countries ask for more for accessibility.
- If the room is tight, a door that opens outwards or slides gives back a lot of usable floor.
